Several teams are looking to get in on the first wave of user currencies to be issued using the Master Protocol! We are excited to announce the first major smart property releases in April will include,
- Safecoin – MaidSafe is a fully decentralized platform on which application developers can build decentralized applications. Safecoin, the currency of the SAFE Network will be issued using the Master Protocol. The sale event will run until ten percent of all safecoins (429,496,729) are sold or 30 days have passed, which ever happens first with an April 22nd launch date.
- Artistcoin/TatianaCoin – Tatiana Moroz is a singer-songwriter from New Jersey. She has successfully written, produced, and self-released 2 full length LPs. Tatiana is launching a new metacoin using the Master Protocol with an April 22nd-early May launch likely.
Although it is not possible yet for anyone to issue a smart property, the dev team is working around the clock to bring smart property issuance to the masses. Once smart property features on the Master Protocol launch, the goal of the dev team is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to create and issue their own tokens. This week engines are revved at full throttle and everyone at the Mastercoin Foundation is getting quite excited.
Omniwallet
The Omniwallet team this week reached delivery of its 0.5 milestone. In this release an ‘Explore page’ for users was added for users who are not logged in. Parsing/validation issues have been fixed. An additional API endpoint to list all the addresses that hold a given Smart Property has been added. Further, processing purchasing a property from a fundraiser address was implemented. A requirement was added for a minimal password complexity in order to create a wallet. Implementation of the signing portion of challenge responses in Updates/Logins was also achieved.
Mac OS Support
Sean and Tomás this week continued their work on a Mac OS X wallet. They have been outlining a design document that will become the eventual framework for such an implementation.

This week Nikos and Panos, the Mastercoin Foundation’s education team summarized all the available options regarding buying, storing, sending and selling MSC, based on the questions users submitted.
